Role Summary

To develop the position of a People Advisor within the Arden Group. You will be a driven, independent leader in this area who is passionate about all things ‘people’ in areas ranging from staff engagement, support, wellbeing, and personal development.

You will be empowered to work autonomously, interpreting people principles to achieve the best outcomes for the Arden Group.

The Role

  • Responsible for facilitating how our culture and values are represented across the company, how they influence behaviors, how teams work together and how managers can reinforce and role model them
  • Acting as an internal consultant to support organisational change
  • Be a valued member of the wellbeing team driving initiatives like employee recognition and staff voice
  • Support the management team in the recruitment process including apprenticeships
  • Facilitate the appraisal system and effective performance management
  • Proactively assess team and manager development needs, make recommendations, and implement appropriate solutions
  • Advise and support on rewards and recognition, organisational design, employee relations, employee engagement and talent management
  • To advise on and support the company’s succession planning strategy through age and skills profiling to minimise the business risk in this area
  • To implement people policies, practices, and procedures in line with current legislation and company objectives
  • Develop and manage onboarding and leaving processes
  • Monitor and manage staff absence

Skills

  • A confident and clear communicator
  • Experience of supporting managers in an HR role
  • Experience in developing people and developing strong positive relationships in all areas of a business
  • Knowledge of employment law, policies and practices, and experience of managing complex employee relations matters
  • Ability to work in an agile way moving between different topics quickly and effectively
  • Good knowledge of organisational design and performance management systems and people processes
  • CIPD qualified or equivalent relevant professional experience
